Mallory Ruszczyk-Raum, daughter of John Raum, Lead Driver
in Roseboro, NC, is 22 years old and currently an E-5 (Sergeant) with the 18th Airborne
Division of the US Army at Fort Bragg. Mallory deployed to Iraq the beginning of
January 2008 and is expected to return home April/May 2009. This is her second deployment;
she was previously stationed in Bagram, Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division
at Fort Drum, New York. Mallory is an Intelligence Analyst. When she comes home
in 2009 she plans on finishing her commitment to the Army which will be completed
in 2011. Upon completion, she will have the necessary college degree to go into
an Accounting position either with the Government or a private company. Mallory’s
family would like her to know that, “We love you, miss you and are very proud of
your sacrifice and commitment. Be strong and safe. Love, Dad, Mom, Bridgette, Cherie,
Vicki, Johnny, Bubby Gum and Becca”

Chris Jones, rank – E2, son of Rusty Jones, dispatcher in Cedartown, GA had signed
up to join the Marines during his Senior year of High School and has gone through
Boot Camp at Parris Island, SC. Chris graduated in October of 2008 and left for
North Carolina
where he will complete his Advanced Training.

Rusty and wife Kelley, also have another child, Karlie Jones, rank – E2, joined the Army National Guard in the 11th grade. Karlie is in Texas completing her Advanced
Training. She received a GMS scholarship and is attending NGCSU in January of 2009
entering into the medical field. Chris and Karlie’s mother, Kelley states, “As a
parent, I could not be more proud to say that I have 2 teenagers that have chosen
to serve our country. I want them to know that they are the ‘love of my life’ and
I pray that God will watch over them and return them safely”.

Bradley Burkhalter, ranked E-2 and currently deployed
to Korea, is the son-in-law of Tracy Cooke, Customer Service Representative in Summerville,
SC. Bradley plans to continue his military career when he returns home. Tracy would
like to tell Bradley, “We love you & are very proud of you, be safe & hurry
home.”

Robert Rhodes is a 1st Sergeant in the Marines; with 20 years in the Marines. He
has served our country in Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and is currently serving
his second tour of duty stationed in Iraq.
Christopher Rhodes is a Sergeant in the Marines; he has been enlisted now for 4
years and recently re-enlisted for 5 more years. He is also on his 2nd tour of duty
in Iraq. Robert & Christopher are nephews of Pam Schaard, IT Director. “Our
family is very proud of these men; they are carrying on a long standing Marine Corps
family tradition of serving our country that goes back to their grandfathers who
fought in WWII and their fathers who fought in the Vietnam War.”

Linda Harrison, Central Division Administrative Assistant
- Jeffrey Massey served 15 months in Iraq and is now back home finishing his time
at Fort Lewis in Washington State. Linda would like to thank everyone that has supported
her son while he was serving our country.

Key Winkler, Central Division HR Manager has returned
from active duty in the Air National Guard and is now retired. Key was a MSGT and
a member of the
145th AW and served
at Balad Air Base, 40 miles North of Bagdad, Iraq as a Surface Freight and Hazardous
Materials Supervisor. He is proud to serve his country with over 19 years
in the Air Force.

David Tubbs returned home just before Christmas in 2007
after serving two tours in Iraq. David has enrolled in L.S.U., and is maintaining
a 4.0. He is majoring in History/Political Science with ambitions of law school.
David is in the debate club, writes for the college paper, and is also taking violin
lessons. His father Keith states, “If anyone had told me (while he was in high school)
that he would be doing so well in college, I would have snickered. The Army was
good for him.”

Greg Smith is now at home in Germany on medical leave
after having surgery on his shoulder. He is not sure if he will return to active
duty this year.

Will Bostic, Shop Forman at the Roseboro facility was deployed to Iraq in October
of 2008. Will is a Specialist in the US Army. Craig Johnson, Shop Manager at Hope
Mills, NC, states, “He has been a great asset and we will definitely miss him and
what he does.”

Lt. Edward C. Brown, Navy Seal, cousin of Charles Scales,
Account Sales Manager in the Greenville-Spartanburg area of SC, is currently deployed
to points unknown. When Edward returns, he plans on helping his wife, Nancy, welcome
their second child and play with his son who will be 17 months old.

John Pfleger, an Environmental & Safety Specialist, is a Navy Reservist, (Rate:
AME, Rank: E-6) currently in active drill status (not deployed). He drills at NAS
Oceana in Virginia Beach.
|
Colonel Charles Stokes, the father of Camie Noonan, Sales
Representative in Hope Mills, NC, and brother, Captain Danny Stokes, are both overseas
in the US Army. Colonel Stokes is currently deployed in an undisclosed area and
Captain Stokes is on his 3rd tour of duty in Iraq. Their plans when they return
home are to continue serving the country that they love. Camie’s message to her
father and brother is that she loves them both and is proud to say they are her
family.

Bradley Gann, son-in-law of David and Carolyn Peck, Fleet Manager and Purchasing
Manager at the Home Office, is a LTJG, Naval Officer on active duty. Bradley was
deployed for Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in October of 2008 for a minimum of seven months. When he returns he plans to spend as much time with family as possible. “We love
him and will miss him terribly. We pray that God will keep him safe along with the
other thousands of men and women away from their families.”
